Obituary of Rita M. Lynch Dusel

Rita Lynch Dusel, 92, of Auburn passed away on August 15, 2017 at her home in Auburn.  She was born to Erma and Joseph Lynch on February 28, 1925 and graduated from Central High in 1942.  In 1947 she married the love of her life, Gene and they built a home in the Town of Owasco where they raised their 3 children.  She is survived by her daughter Karen (Denny) Jarman of Auburn, son David (Kathy) Dusel of Allen Park, Michigan, and daughter-in-law Joanne Dusel of Skaneateles.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren Lori (Joseph) Stanley of Allen Park ,Michigan, Michael (Sarah) Dusel of Raleigh, North Carolina, Robert Dusel of New York City, Alix (Brian) Hutchison of Lockport, New York,  Jenna Jarman and Lindsay Jarman of Auburn.  She also was loved by her six great grandchildren Ashley and Trevor Stanley of Allen Park, Jack, Owen, and Luke Dusel of Raleigh, and Merritt Thomas Hutchison of Lockport.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 69 years Eugene Dusel, loving son Thomas Dusel, and dear brother Robert Lynch.

A funeral mass celebrating Rita’s life is being held on Monday, August 21, at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 with visitation at the church from 9:30 to 10:45.  Arrangements are being handled by Farrell’s  Funeral Services of Auburn.

Rita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent her life loving, caring and enjoying her family. Her kindness, concern for others, and strong faith is known by all who were blessed by knowing her.  Her favorite charity for years has been St. Jude’s Hospital so family is requesting that any donations may be made to them in her memory or to Hospice of the Finger Lakes.
