Obituary of Julia Salvage McGeever

Mrs. Julia Salvage Mc Geever, 94, of State Route 34 B, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at Auburn Community Hospital. A lifelong resident of the area, Julia had retired from GE, Auburn in 1984 with 33 years of service. She enjoyed her gardening, baking, sewing, and attending church. A former member of the Fleming St. Isaac Jogues Church, she was an active parishioner. Julia always enjoyed her independence. Her husband, Harry, predeceased her on Jan. 8, 1984. Surviving are their sons, James Mc Geever, of Auburn, and David Mc Geever, of Moravia; grandchildren, Nathan Mc Geever, of Moravia, Jennifer Mc Geever, of Auburn, Amanda Mc Geever, of Moravia, and Tammy Brown (Mike), of Auburn; beloved great-grandchildren, Ryan and Travis, and Jacob and Zoey. She was also predeceased by her parents, Carl and Anna Daum Salvage; brothers, Michael and Nicholas; sisters, Catherine Jones and Anna King; daughter-in-law, Melody Mc Geever. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Farrell’s Funeral Service Inc., 84 South St., Auburn, with the Rev. James Enright officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to services. Memorials may be made to either Fleming Fire Department # 2, or the Red Cross.
