Obituary of Marissa Beth Reynolds Currier
Marissa Beth Currier (Reynolds,39) passed away unexpectedly on Christmas morning December 25, 2024.
Marissa was born in Auburn, NY on June 5th, 1985, to Nancy Kratz and William Reynolds. She was cared for and raised by her mother and step father Nate Janes. She was a loving wife to her husband David Currier Jr. and devoted mother to her Five children: Kyana Currier (26), Brianna Reynolds (24), Cayleigh Currier (18), David Currier III (16), Cameron Currier (14). She was also a very proud Mam Mam (grandmother) to her only granddaughter Evelynn C. Raso (7). She also leaves behind a brother Christopher Reynolds (42) and his family, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Marissa cared for everyone she met. She dedicated her life to serving others as a nurse where she worked countless hours to bring life to others at some of their hardest hours. Marissa had so many amazing qualities that helped her create a lasting impact on all of those around her. She was smart, devoted, compassionate, empathetic and truly expressed a concern for those she worked with and for. She always placed everyone else’s needs above her own and did so without complaint. She was humble, kind, modest, and selfless. All of which made her a great nurse, fantastic mother, and the most amazing wife and friend anyone could have been lucky enough to have known.
Marissa was a guiding light and leader for her family. She was a role model for her colleagues and new nurses. There are not enough words to describe how large an impact she made on others in such a short life, but her words and actions will live on in others forever.
Marissa was a kind and generous person. Who often gave to others even when not able to give to herself. Her family would like to honor those qualities and ask that in lieu of flowers to please make a charitable donation in her name to Catholic Charities, Habitat for Humanity or the local SPCA.
Please join Marissa’s family on Thursday January 2nd between 3p-6p at Farrell’s Funeral Service, Inc 84 South St Auburn NY to honor her life and on Friday January 3rd at 10:45 for a CNY Syracuse Chapter Nurses Honor Guard Service, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 am at Saint Mary’s Church , 15 Clark Street Auburn NY.
