Obituary of Barbara Mary Clemens

Heaven has a new gardener - Barbara Mary Clemens of Hillview Terrace, Cato NY will be busy making heaven even more beautiful with all the flowers that she will plant. Flowers were the way Barbara spread beauty, peace, happiness, and love every where she went. Barbara left on her journey on October 10, 2024. Barbara was born on November 9, 1927 in Norway NY to Floyd and Hazel Clemens. Upon graduation from high school, she attended Russell Sage College and then Albany Medical College where she earned her Registered Nursing (RN) Degree. Barbara was a wonderful caring, loving, compassionate nurse and excelled at her position. She was employed by Loretto geriatric in Syracuse for many years and then worked at Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville. She volunteered for many organizations and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. She was an active member of Martville United Methodist Church, Civic Heritage Historical Society, and Cato Senior Citizens In 2005 she was honored for all her volunteer work and caring for others by being named Cayuga County Senior Citizen of the year. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Martville United Methodist Church, with visitation from 1 PM to 2 PM and a celebration of life service of music, love and laughter at 2 PM.
