Obituary of Joan M. Tyman

Joan M. Tyman, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Seneca Nursing Home after a brief illness. Joan was born on September 12, 1940, in Auburn. For most of her life Joan was a Waitress, and lived in Fayette, NY. Relocating to North Carolina, then Ohio to be close to her son. Four years ago she returned to Auburn to be closer to more family. Residing for the past four years at North Brook Heights, where she made many friends. Joan is survived by her daughter, Laurie and husband, Roland Whitten, Seneca Falls; her sons, Jeffery and wife, Trisha Tyman, Liverpool and Greg Tyman, Tupper Lake, NY; sister, Joyce Washburn of NC; a brother, George and wife, Ruth Bassett, Romulus, NY; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas; and her parents, George and Laura (Gee) Bassett. As per Joan's wishes all services will be private at the convenience of the family.
