Obituary of Pauline Purcell

Pauline Weaver Purcell, 92, of the Boyle Center and formerly of North Fulton Street, Auburn passed away Thursday October 27,, 2016 at home. A lifelong Auburn resident, she was one of the thirteen children of Ray & Flora Beardsley Weaver. She is survived by her sisters Joan Connors, Auburn and Shirley Reed Marland, Illinois, a sister in law Tina Weaver, Auburn; brothers in law Leroy Stevens, Auburn and Harold Purcell, Cato; of Auburn, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pauline wa pre deceased by her husband George Purcell, brothers Ray, Theodor, Orin, Donald and Richard Weaver; and sisters Gertrude Mc Cadden, Martha Stevens, Margaret Gallery, Mary Weaver, Flora Leone. A member of St. Alphonsus Church, Pauline was a thirty year employee of the A & P Store Auburn, and a ten year former employee of Dunn & Mc Carthy Shoe Company. He family was always the important activity in her life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 15 am on Monday October 31, 2016 in St. Alphonsus Church, Auburn with the Reverend Timothy Nivens, Pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held in St. Alphonsus Church prior tot he funeral mass, from 9 am to 10 am.
