Obituary of Elizabeth (Stanton) Nagle,
Elizabeth Nagle (Stanton), aged 70, passed away peacefully May 29, 2024 after a brief illness. Born on October 31, 1953, Elizabeth embraced the magical spirit of her Halloween birthday, often jokingly referring to herself as a "witch" who could cast a spell with her warmth and charm.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Jennie Mae Sallee Stanton and Robert Archibald Stanton, as well as her loving husband, Robert Nagle. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through her surviving siblings, grandchildren, and children: her three daughters, Nicole, Melissa, and Ruth-Ann, and her son, Edward.
Elizabeth, a dedicated music enthusiast, often reminisced about her unforgettable experiences at the original Woodstock and the Monterey Jazz Festival. These iconic events shaped her love for music and fueled her vibrant and adventurous spirit.
Beyond her passion for music, Elizabeth was actively involved in the Democratic Party, advocating for progressive causes and inspiring others with her unwavering commitment to justice and equality. As a fervent believer in the power of democracy, she was eagerly anticipating the upcoming election and was hopeful to again see Donald Trump defeated.
Elizabeth’s life was a testament to her enduring spirit and the deep love she held for her family and community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her.
A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a music education charity of your choice, in honor of Elizabeth's lifelong passion for music.
