Obituary of Elizabeth A. Ecker

Elizabeth A. Ecker, 69, of Auburn, NY, passed away peacefully at Matthew House in Auburn, NY on April 2, 2024. Elizabeth graduated from Southern Cayuga High School and went on to earn degrees from Cayuga Community College and Wells College. She dedicated her career to serving others as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD), touching the lives of many with her compassionate care. Elizabeth is survived by her loving children: Sarah (Dustin) Wilkens of SD and Karson Ecker of NY; as well as her devoted sisters: Lucy (Don) Mead of FL, Lori (Gary) Rutledge-Caughey of CA and Inga Hoberg of CA. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Matthew House of Auburn, NY, in memory of Elizabeth.
