Clara B. Covich Walsh, 97, a lifelong Auburnian peacefully passed away Sunday March 3, 2024 surrounded by family.

A graduate of East High School, and Auburn Business School, Clara was the Secretary to former Auburn Mayor Paul Lattimore, Sr as well as the Gebhardt, Tyron & Lattimore Insurance Company .

A devoted wife, mother , grandmother and great grandmother Clara was a lifelong parishioner, attending daily mass at Holy Family Church. Clara had volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at Holy Family retiring only six months ago due to health issues. A former volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was always helping others whenever and wherever possible.

The daughter of Peter and Helen Elkovitch Covich, Clara was the widow of Richard Walsh. Surviving are her daughters

She was pre deceased by parents, husband and a brother Peter Calvin.

On Monday March 11, 2024 at Holy Family Church 85 North ST Auburn calling hours will be held from 9 am to 10. 15 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am with Reverend John Gathenya as celebrant . Interment will follow in ST Joseph’s Cemetery.
