You don't know me but I have occasionally looked for Rev. Kettinger trough the years but was never able to find him until, regrettably, too late. I wanted to find him on the NET to thank him for something he did for me many years ago when he married me and my wonderful wife some 47 years ago. We had a " session " just him and me and he answered two questions about the Word that I had been struggling with for years and did so without a moments hesitation. The questions, at this point, is not really what I'm trying to address and thank him for but rather his answers that were so transformational ( to a degree ) for me. When I see him I'll thank him personally. Till then, peace in a troubled world..

Sending my deepest condolences to Leroy’s family and loved ones. Leroy was a member of the Auburn YMCA and I enjoyed our regular chats when he would come in for his Saturday afternoon workouts. His intelligence, compassion, and humor were always present and he spoke of his family with great love. I always looked forward to catching up with him and he will be missed.

LeRoy was not a medical doctor. But he was such a Godsend sharing spiritual along with medical information… and shared meals! He and Wilma once even drove over to Syracuse to take me (& my wheelchair!) out of the hospital for dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse!
As I often used to tease him, his name “Le Roi” actually means THE KING in French! Now our Auburn pastor is up in Heaven with THE king Jesus Our Lord. Mission accomplished.
I pray the words taught at the Auburn Catholic schools come true: “If you get to Heaven b4 I do, please PLEASE drill a hole and pull me through ( also )!”

Pastor Kettinger was a wonderful pastor for Auburn. He will be truly missed. He also married Fritz and me which we always felt was a very special service, also the prayer services for my Mom, Dad and brother.
Thank you for all you did for so many.
God Bless you Pastor and your family and friends at this most difficult time.
You will be missed at the hospital, which is where I did see him most of the time.
Prayers for all.

Leroy was a favorite person of mine. I am a recently retired nurse from ACH, and my chats with Leroy were a highlight of my day. Watching and listening to him comforting patients/ families was unmatched. He always made time to encourage staff if needed. His voice is forever imbedded in my mind. RIP my friend.

To Wilma and all the family,
My heart goes out to you especially due to the unexpected timing of LeRoy's transfer to heaven. I lost my Arlene in 18 hours from normalcy to losing half of my heart. I recall many fond memories since the late 70's when I traveled for NAE. I was in your church and stayed in your home when all the kids were little. I've watched the family grow up and expand via Face Book. Every death brings heaven closer to me. I'm looking forward that that great reunion day. Love and Prayers. Darrel

Wilma, Kirk, Kevin, Val, and Janelle,
I'm praying for you and your families as you travel this road of sorrow and loss. I was truly blessed to know Leroy over so many years and in so many ways. Whether it was a trip to Cedar Point, rides to Roberts basketball games at C-C, homemade pizza night at the Kettinger home, hearing a sermon at church, ice cream at Friendly's after a band concert, or having him as a professor in a class at Roberts, your husband/Dad provided wisdom, guidance, and encouragement. I always appreciated his kindness and humor. I'm thankful to have most recently caught up with him on the cross country course at Houghton, where he proudly shared updates on all the kids and grandkids. May you be strengthened and comforted as you reflect on all your experiences and memories with him.
Love and prayers,
Ron
