Obituary of Douglas Robert Maloney

Mr. Douglass R. Maloney, 63, of Mercy Apartments, Auburn, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Auburn Community Hospital. A lifelong resident of Auburn, he was the son of Robert and Norma Rowell Maloney. A graduate of Auburn High School, he was employed with Columbian Rope Company, Sylvania in Seneca Falls, and Wal-Mart. Doug was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Auburn. He always enjoyed country music, TV, and could always make everyone laugh with his good jokes. Surviving are his sister, Lynne Willis, of Moravia; brother, Terry (Fran) Maloney, of Auburn; nieces and nephews, Melanie Hastings (Shawn), of Cayuga, Domonique Maloney, of Auburn, Jenna Maloney, of Auburn, Jessica Willis, of Camillus, Tonya White (Tim), of Union Springs, Terry Maloney Jr., of Auburn, Steve Follet, of Auburn, and Lisa Follet, of Auburn; several great-nieces and great-nephews including, Cody, Monica, Justice, Ryall, Jermond, Imarri, Telona, and Carter; many friends including, Tim Brown and Jim McKeon. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Melonie. Services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Farrell’s Funeral Service Inc., 84 South St., Auburn. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Florence, N.Y.
