Obituary of Clara M. Lathrop

Mrs. Clara M. Lathrop, 99, of Stryker Avenue, Owasco, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 in her home. Mrs. Lathrop was born on April 5, 1917 at home and was a graduate of Auburn East High School. For many years she was employed at Auburn Community Hospital and with Auburn Enlarged City School District, from which she retired. Mrs. Lathrop bravely survived several life-threatening illnesses in her lifetime. She loved to read, enjoyed good company and crafting. She was blessed with a kind heart and generous spirit. She will be missed by her daughter, Suzanne, of Owasco; her nephew, Charles and his wife Marjorie; her niece, Margaret and her husband Robert. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, from noon to 2 p.m. at Farrell’s Funeral Service, Inc., 84 South St., Auburn. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
