Obituary of Donald R. Miller

AUBURN | Mr. Donald R. Miller, 73, of Arlington Avenue, Auburn, died on Friday, April 19, 2019, in Matthew House, Auburn.

Don was born in Auburn, the son of John H. and Lavena Corbett Miller and was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, class of 1964. He had retired in 2009 after 40 years at McQuay International in Auburn. Don was an avid outdoors man, enjoying fishing, hiking, and camping. He also enjoyed geocaching, collecting antique cars and coins.

He is survived by his son, Donald R. Miller Jr. and his wife, Shannon, of Auburn; three siblings, Maryanne Maland and her husband, Leonard, of Fairport, John Miller, of Auburn, and Laurie Guzewicz and her husband, Charles, of Auburn; several nieces and nephews, Vincent Gleason (Jamie), Kyle Guzewicz, Meghan Guzewicz (Preston Potlaski), Lindsey Guzewicz (Brendan Hodgens), Christopher Maland, and Jason Maland (Kelley); a grand niece and nephew, Kaylie and Braeden Gleason.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Farrell’s Funeral Service, Inc., 84 South St., Auburn. Funeral services and interment will be held privately at the family’s convenience.
