Obituary of Kenneth Early Green
Mr. Kenneth E. Green, 94, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Finger Lakes Center for Living, Auburn.
A native of Owasco, he was the son of Herbert and Elizabeth Coleman Green. He was a graduate of Skaneateles High School, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a retired driver for Auburn Cement Products with 39 years of services.
Kenneth loved his family, gardening, bowling, fishing and hunting. He was a former member of St. Bernard’s Church, and was a former resident of Wycoff Road, Scipio Center, N.Y.
His wife, Violet Thurston Green, predeceased him in 1995.
Surviving is their family, Linda Green, of Oklahoma, Sherry Green, of Auburn, and Kenneth R. Green, of Georgia; one sister, Anna Flanigan, of Auburn; grandchildren, Christopher Hawker, Candy Hawker, Pamela (Gene) Campbell, and Samantha Hawker (Mike McCall); great-grandchildren, Lucas, Dakota, Hailey, Jackson, Tyler, Madison, and Brooke; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Violet; daughter, Darliene Hawker; grandson, Ricky Hawker; brothers, George, William, Lincoln, Raymond, and Robert; two sisters, Gladys Wild and Elizabeth Berry, and their parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Farrell’s Funeral Service, Inc., 84 South St., Auburn. Interment with full military honors will follow in Scipio Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018, at Farrell’s Funeral Service, Inc.
