Theresa Ann DiMatteo

Theresa Ann DiMatteo (Terri), born June 13, 1966, entered into eternal rest on April 4, 2026. A 1984 graduate of Auburn High School, she excelled in athletics during her teenage years, and attended Nazareth College of Rochester on a tennis scholarship. She later worked professionally as a self-employed hairdresser, IT technician, and as an assistant in a bakery. Her greatest passion throughout her life was caring for her beloved pets, which included many dogs and cats. Terri was pre-deceased by her parents, Bruno and Jacqueline DiMatteo of Auburn, her maternal and paternal grandparents, and many aunts and uncles. Terri is survived by her uncle Benjamin Leotta, aunt Ernestine DiMatteo, and brother John (Allison) DiMatteo; nieces Alicia (Brian) Teal and Anna (Greg) Giannotta, and nephew Gregory (Megan Labranche) DiMatteo; great nieces McKenna Perkins, Miley and Mia Teal, and Lillian Brown; and many cousins. A private service and interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, 41 York Street, Auburn, NY 13021.
