Ann M. (Morrissey) Bryla

Ann Marie (Morrissey) Bryla passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, beside her loving children. She was born on March 27, 1939, in Auburn, NY. Ann devoted her life to her beloved husband of 49 years, Richard, and to their two children, creating a home filled with warmth, faith, and grace.

Ann found joy in life’s simple, beautiful moments. She turned ordinary days into treasured memories – from elegant candlelight suppers to joyful holiday gatherings. She taught her family to value time together, love deeply, laugh often, and live with gratitude.

To know Ann was to feel welcomed and loved. Her deep faith, especially her devotion to the Blessed Mother, was the quiet foundation of her life, guiding her with steady strength and gentle grace.

A graduate of Central High School, Ann began her career with General Electric in Auburn and later retired from GE in Syracuse, where she served as Coordinator of Continuing Education. She was a member of St. Hyacinth’s Church.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly M. (Mark) Kukiela of Auburn, NY, and Kevin R. (Mary Lynne) Bryla of Raytown, MO; her grandson, Austin Bryla of Raytown, MO; her sister, Rita Campagnola of Auburn, NY; her sister-in-law, Monica Bryla of Auburn, NY; her nephews, John, Jeff, and Joel Campagnola; and many cousins, great-nephews, and nieces. Ann was predeceased by her husband; her parents, Thomas and Antoinette (Simmons) Morrissey; her sister, Joan Morrissey; her in-laws, John and Stella Bryla; and her brother-in-law, John Campagnola.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Hyacinth’s Church, 61 Pulaski Street, Auburn, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:15 a.m., celebrated by the Reverend Louis Vasile. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Columbarium.
