Ella “Louise” Carragher , peacefully passed away Saturday at FF Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua NY surrounded by family.

A devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister “Louise” loved her family. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the Casino. She loved watching all Sports. She shared a Special Bond with her dog Rosie. In her earlier days she worked at Zotos and Adult Day Care at Seneca Nursing and Rehab Center.

The daughter of Arthur and Maxine Alford Schirmer, she was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Geneva, and currently attended St. Francis Church, Phelps.

“Louise” was predeceased by her husband Richard , daughter Michelle, and granddaughter Kristen Patrick, brothers Ric Long and James Prattico

We would like to thank Sue Underhill and the volunteers at Light Hill Comfort Care Home in Canandaigua, NY for their compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday February 21, 2026, at 11:15 A.M.

at St. Mary’s Church Waterloo with the Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant.

A spring interment will be held at Sand Hill Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held from 10-11 A.M. prior to the Funeral Mass, at
