Mary Ellen (Mimi) Hendrick Jolly, 79 of Auburn past away Wednesday December 31, 2025 at Upstate University Hospital.

Mary Ellen (Mimi) was born in Rochester the daughter of Robert and Erna Schurer Hendrick. A graduate of Irondequoit high school and Monroe Community College. She pervious resided in Rochester and Clayton before relocating to Auburn to be close to her grandson Tyler.

Mary Ellen (Mimi) loved her family and was a devoted mother and NaNa. She was the ultimate hockey mom and nana attending all their games and practices through the years. Her love for hockey started years before even her daughter or grandson’s love for the sport. She was especially proud of her grandson Tyler and his accomplishment of playing Junior Hockey for the Norwich Sea Captains in CT. She was always the “cool” aunt, mom and nana and had great stories too tell of her life adventures. Mary Ellen was always making friends where ever she went with her charming personality. Talking for hours about her family and pets. She was an animal lover especially to her cats and dogs throughout the years.

Surviving are her daughter Shannon Jolly Calkins, grandson Tyler Calkins of Skaneateles, Step sons Kyle Jolly of Burbank CA and Ethan Jolly, Bondilyn (wife), Peta and Lincoln (children) Woodland Hills CA and Niece Sandy Herington Gary(husband), Colin and Kylie (children) of Fairport. Along with her beloved friend Marcia O’Neil of Deapuville.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date on a warm sunny spring day.
