James Michael Wilkinson, Jr. Obituary

James (Jamie) Wilkinson passed away surrounded by his family at Auburn Community Hospital on November 11th, 2025 at the age of 57.

Jamie was predeceased by his loving mother, Kathleen Curry, his beloved grandparents, Henry & Ethel Curry and Hannah & Eric Wilkinson, his uncles, Pat & Timmy Wilkinson, his aunt, Kathy Wilkinson, and his cousins Billy Rabuano & Mark Curry.

He is survived by his children, Hannah & Jack Wilkinson, his father and stepmother, James & Gloria Wilkinson, his sister, Wendy (Wilkinson) Ansteth, his nephews Stephen, Eric, and Alex Ansteth, and his companion, Karen Rowe.

Born on August 6th, 1968, Jamie loved family, football and basketball (the Bears and the Bulls),

golfing, and camping with his family in the Adirondack Mountains. Specifically, the time he spent fishing with his Dad for trout in local and mountain streams. He often reminisced of his

childhood, growing up on Fosterville Rd, and his time spent at his grandparents farm.

Graduating from Union Springs High School, and attending Cayuga Community College, he has always called this area his home.

Jamie’s health failed him the last few years, but his never ending parade of incredible friends never did. Many thanks to Brian, Julie, Bob, Jim, Chris, John, Jeff, Sean, Rob, and Danny, just to name a few!

Jamie’s friends had a friend for life, and he always knew how to have fun. Jamie was a proud man with a charismatic personality and an infectious sense of humor, who would bring life, energy, and laughter into any room he entered. He loved to cook, draw, decorate, build a fire,

and most of all spend time with his friends and family. Music was also a huge part of Jamie’s life, and it was rare to find him without the radio on full blast, or humming a tune that was stuck in his head. Although Jamie struggled with illness, he faced it with a humble sense of calm, and

when asked, would often say “it could be worse”.

Jamie was loved by many, and will be missed.
