Rose S. Lombardi Casper, passed away Thursday surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was the daughter of Giorgio & Rosa Italiano Lombardi. She was a life long Auburn resident , a graduate of West High School, and had retired from Juno’s Auto Glass as the Office/Business Manager.

On September 8, 1962 she married her best friend Paul Casper. They raised three children, enjoyed family and neighborhood life. Rose was a volunteer at Blessed Trinity& St. Joseph’s School for many years.

Often traveling with family and friends with their camper. After Paul passed away in January 2005, Rose kept busy as a volunteer at St. Mary’s Church, and spending time with her close knit family of children, grandchildren, great grand children, and friends. It was her pride and joy to be with her family.

Her hobbies including knitting, crocheting, always reading a good book, (especially Danielle Steele) cooking for family, friends and neighbors. Rose was very proud of her Sicilian heritage, A loyal Syracuse University Basketball fan and the New York Islanders Hockey Team fan.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Paul, parents, a brother Luigi Lombardi, a sister Mary Smokoski.

On Wednesday June 11, 2025 at St. Mary’s Church, Auburn calling hours will be held from 10 am to 11:45 am with her Funeral Mass to follow at 12 noon. The Reverend Frank Lioi, Pastor will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
