Obituary of Colonel (Ret) Kevin Walsh

Colonel (Ret) Kevin Walsh went to the Lord on April 22, 2025. Kevin was born on April 23, 1956 in Mercy Hospital, Auburn, NY to Michael J. and Maureen Harmon Walsh. He is survived by his wife Kim Walsh of Indian River, MI, his son Patrick Walsh (Riannon) of Suffolk, VA, his daughter Kelly Walsh of Indian River, MI, his stepson Will Rigling (Megan) of Petoskey, MI and his stepdaughter Megan Webb of Indian River, MI. He is also survived by his mother Maureen Walsh of Auburn, NY, his brother Brian of Auburn, NY, his sister Theresa of Auburn NY and his brother Chris of Mainz, Germany. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and grandchildren. Kevin graduated from Auburn High School, Delhi Ag and Tech and SUNY Polytech. He was blessed to have been able to spend 38 years doing what he enjoyed the most, serving our nation in the Air Force, the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve. He was a veteran of Operation Noble Eagle (NORAD), Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). Kevin was a member of several volunteer fire departments in his life. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held in June, on flag day June 14, 2025 at St. Mary’s Church Auburn NY at 11 am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with full military honors. Calling hours will be held Friday June 13, 2025 from 6 to 8 pm at Farrell’s Funeral Service Inc 84 South ST Auburn NY.
